Environmental and Rural Development Institute (ERDI) Solutions is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) working for more sustainable development.
In order to achieve this goal, ERDI Solutions aims:
To improve the quality of national and regional policy for rural development, towards integrated rural development, sustainable livelihoods and agriculture development, protection and conservation of environment in rural areas.
To contribute to improvement of public service delivery, particularly in social sectors.
To promote economic growth through support of the private sector in rural areas through improvement of service delivery, capacity building, training and information technology.
To support sustainable rural development, and human resource development though knowledge improvement and build new skills through training and promotion workshops and extend them to regional level. This will also contribute to poverty reduction and achievement of Millennium Development Goals
To foster public inclusiveness and representation at national and local level through dialog over integrated rural development, sustainable agriculture and agro-environment, establishment of capacity building and skill development networks in rural and poorest areas.
Based in Tirana, Albania we work through a wide range of long-standing relationships with partners locally and internationally, across the developing world. Some of these relationships go back since 1994. Our partnerships generate close working relations with many key development actors from smallholder farmers to local and national governments and regional NGOs, global institutions and international processes.
ERDI Solutions also acts as a facilitator and helps vulnerable groups find their voice and ensure their interests are heard in decision-making.
ERDI Solutions receives funding from public and private sector including aid and development ministries, intergovernmental agencies, foundations, and corporate and individual donors.
